Finer-grained speed control steps are what I came for, and it works like a champ. I’m in a choir, so being able to set a reference recording to match our performance tempo (rather than being stuck with YouTube’s native 0.75 or 1.25 speeds) is just what I need. Along with “Looper for YouTube,” this is just the ticket for learning new music.

I’ve been using this plugin for years and while some sites reset your speed, or layer multiple players which makes it difficult to control the speed, those things are not issues with the plugin itself. Being able to adjust the step to 0.25 is awesome as is listening to slow talks at 3 or 4x speed on YouTube or Lynda instead of their limited 2x. Speeding through commercials (works on some sites, not all) is nice, but as an animator, slowing down a section of a tutorial that was too fast to notice what they’re doing, or a section of video where I want to try to do something similar or just appreciate it, is priceless.

Super customizable yet simple to use. My fave controller keys: WASD for preferred speed, slower, reset & faster. BEST VIDEO SPEED CONTROLLER EVER!!!!!!!!!!

This Chrome extension is absolutely amazing. Video Speed Controller will change your life. I’ve been using this extension for over a year and could no longer live without it. Everyone takes in information at different rates, but videos on the internet are in one speed for everyone. With this extension, you can speed up or slow down any video to the exact speed that suits your brain to be able to get all the information from a video as efficiently as possible. This functionality should be built into Chrome. Best extension on the chrome web store, hands down.

Really handy! Easy to use and understand. Love the transpose function which moves up and down the scale in 1/2 step increments. Combined with the tempo and loop its a great practice tool. Recommend the pro version since it keeps a list of your tunes etc…Given the number of musicians out there I cant believe only 10,000 folks find this useful…Wish it worked in Android…

Extremamente útil, principalmente em vídeos que não tem o controle nativo para alteração de velocidade de execução.

Works great! I only wish it had the option for more than one custom speed to be saved to a shortcut.

Better than the other Chrome extension that does the same thing because it has finer speed increments (.1)
