How installation measurement works
The extension can report a first installation start to this website. A short-lived confirmation link prevents accidental duplicate processing. This report is not proof of a store installation. Visiting this help page alone never counts as an installation.
An operational installation record is kept for up to 180 days for deduplication. Confirmation tokens last 30 minutes and are stored only as hashes. Optional website context uses a Secure, HttpOnly first-party cookie for up to 30 days, only after consent. The first consented tagged visit in that period supplies the UTM campaign labels; advertising click IDs are not collected in this version.
Linking later usage requires both website statistics and the separate usage option. A future DB7 connection can supply first-use and active-day events using a separate reference, without settings secrets, video addresses or browsing history. Disabling either option removes the associated usage records and campaign link. The DB7 integration and advertising delivery are not yet active.
Consent preferences are kept in this browser for up to 180 days. Changes are sent to the website when a connection is available; failed requests are retried on your next visit. Clearing browser storage or using another browser loses the link. Help remains available without measurement.
Removal notifications use a separate random token, valid for up to 180 days after installation. Repeat notifications are counted only once. Association with installation and campaign data requires a matching, current analytics and usage consent in the same browser. No advertising event is sent.
